Southampton Village’s inaugural , a full day of activities for families showcasing Southampton’s longstanding heritage of art, music and food, is Saturday, coinciding with ’s .
Events will be scattered throughout downtown starting at 10 a.m. when the Southampton Historical Museum grounds open for Harvest Day and the opens the doors to its inaugural .
The Maniac Pumpkin Carvers will be in front of from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with carving demonstrations; children will have a chance to create their own pumpkins. Meanwhile, at the grounds, there will be face painting, juggling and balloon art. The Southampton Historical Museum will host a Civil War encampment with musket firing and drill demonstrations, and have wagon rides from noon to 2 p.m.
Jester Jim, a favorite performance artist on the East End, will put on his juggling and beat box show on the Parrish grounds from 11 a.m. to noon.
Musical acts include Jim Turner, Nick Kerzner, Ahmed Ali and Charles Certain playing on Main Street and Jobs Lane from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Prelude String Ensemble will perform on the Parrish grounds at 12:30 p.m. Steve Watson will give a jazz performance at 4 p.m. at the Southampton Cultural Center. In , Leah Laurenti takes the stage at 1 p.m., and Hamptons favorite Paul Mahos and New Life Crisis put on a concert starting at 4 p.m.
The day ends with the second to last public performance of at the Southampton Cultural Center.
