Comedian Jim Breuer, who has done several annual sold-out shows at Bay Street Theatre, will return to Sag Harbor this summer.
The theater announced Thursday that Breuer has been added to the Bay Street Comedy Club schedule, performing his standup on June 10.
Named by Comedy Central as one of the "100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time," Breuer, a Long Island native, has become a favorite recurring guest at Bay Street.
Breuer was a cast member of "Saturday Night Live" for four years, beginning in 1995. He became known for his impression of Joe Pesci and his character Goat Boy, and later co-starred in the film "Half Baked," and several more films.
He hosts a radio show on SiriusXM, "Fridays With Breuer," and recently penned his memoir, "I'm Not High: (But I've Got a Lot of Crazy Stories about Life as a Goat Boy, a Dad, and a Spiritual Warrior)."
In 2011, Breuer told Morristown, N.J. Patch that the best way to describe his latest routine is "a modern-day Cosby but in a Metallica shirt." His routine took its current turn in 2008, when Breuer, now a married father of three, began to tour material with a new family outlook. He said it's his best material ever. "It's so family-based: marriage, being a father, son, uncle."
Tickets to see Jim Breuer on June 10 are $69 for general admission, and $62 for Bay Street members. Tickets are available at baystreet.org, in person at the box office, or by calling 631-725-9500.
Also performing in the Comedy Club series this summer are Ralphie May, June 3; Dom Irrera, July 8; Paul Reiser, July 15; David Brenner, July 22; Amy Schumer, Aug. 12; Paula Poundstone, Aug. 19. And on June 17, Joseph Vecsey hosts the 3rd Annual All Star Comedy Showcase.
