SeptemberFest Still on for Saturday [Updated]

Chance of rain falls to just 10 percent for Southampton SeptemberFest.

The latest weather forecast shows that the chance of rain during the morning and afternoon in Southampton Saturday during has fallen to just 10 percent. The chance of precipitation is slighting higher after 4 p.m., but the bulk of outdoor activities will be complete by then.

PREVIOUSLY:

There is an 40 percent chance of rain Saturday afternoon in Southampton, but SeptemberFest, a music, arts and food festival taking place all over downtown Southampton Village, is still going to happen, organizers said Friday.

"Hey, it rained at Woodstock. No one would have wanted to miss that!" promoter James Egan said in an e-mail Friday.

"[T]ents will be up and the performances will go on as planned," Egan said. "More importantly, food and drink will be served."
