Media Mavens Broadcast From Hampton Coffee [PHOTOS]

WPPB visits Southampton cafe for live show.

The Media Mavens, a group of journalists who visit radio host Bonnie Grice at the WPPB 88.3 FM studio each Friday to discuss local happenings, took to the road this week with a special broadcast from the new Hampton Coffee Experience Store in Southampton.

This week's Mavens were Dawn Watson of The Southampton Press and The East Hampton Press, Annette Hinkle of The Sag Harbor Express and Brendan J. O'Reilly of Southampton Patch.

The official Media Maven T-shirts, designed by local artist Adam Baranello, made their debut Friday. The first five listeners to drop in to Hampton Coffee received shirts and neon pink Maven sunglasses.

Among the listeners who dropped by were Southampton Town Councilwoman Bridget Fleming, Town Supervisor Anna-Throne Holst, Deputy Supervisor Frank Zappone, Anita Boyer, Gail Baranello, Joe Severino, Lisa Tamburini and Stu Schoener.

Hampton Coffee owner Jason Belkin, who underwrites the Media Mavens broadcast, provided the space in his cafe for the Mavens' roadtrip.

The show will be rebroadcast Saturday at 8:06 a.m. on 88.3 FM and peconicpublicbroadcasting.org.
