Paton Miller Exhibits Unseen Works in Southampton

Painter's show is Saturday at 4 North Main.

Southampton painter Paton Miller will display rarely and never-before-seen works Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. at 4 North Main Gallery in Southampton Village.

Here is what Miller had to say about his latest exhibition:

This collection of works could be called my Lost Leaders, Tales from the Crypt and Son of Charles Addams. These are works that for reasons unknown to me have rarely or never been shown.

All I can say is that when you work basically every day in the studio for over 30 years there are going to be some works that are a "walk in the park" and other days where the work might be a walk in the park but not in a park you or I have ever been to. This why I called up my old friend Kevin Miserocchi who is the director of the Tee and Charles Addams Foundation and asked him to curate this show.

When Kevin came to the studio he was truly in an element he is very familiar with. Together we have selected a group of paintings many of which are truly some of my personal favorites. My thanks go to Kevin for joining me in this process. The result is an exhibition where if I had any hair I would of let it down.
