Art museum's annual shopping extravaganza kicks off with preview party.
"Parrish Presents," one of the season's most eagerly awaited events, which benefits the Parrish Art Museum, kicked off the shopping season in the Hamptons with a preview cocktail party, for the last time at the site of the former museum on Jobs Lane.
The Preview Cocktail Party was for benefactors, patrons, sponsors and associates. It offered many dazzling gift items including antiques, home furnishings, jewelry, furniture, fine luxury items from many local merchants and artisans. There was also a silent auction that featured designer handbags, lavish jewelry, fashion show tickets, and one-of-a-kind trips.
One of the highlights of the party was a book signing featuring Authors: Tom Wolfe, Back to Blood; Annie Falk, Palm Beach Entertaining; Kathleen King, Tate’s Bake Shop: Baking for Friends and Tate’s Bake Shop: Baking with Kids; and Caroline Rob Zaleski, Long Island Modernism 1930–1980.
