Laughing Pizza Concert Planned to Welcome Southampton Elementary Students, Families

faculty and administrators plan to welcome back students and families with a free concert when the new school year begins.

The first day of class is Sept. 5, and the concert with Laughing Pizza will be on Sept. 7 at 6 p.m.

Laughing Pizza is a family band that writes and performs original pop songs and is frequently featured on PBS. The family trio consists of a mom, dad and daughter who tour the nation, including performing at the White House, sharing the stage with Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers. The band boasts two DVDs, five CDs and seven Parents' Choice awards.

Parents Lisa and Billy are classically trained musicians and former music teachers who had a #1 Billboard Dance Hit.

Fifteen-year-old daughter Emily plays flute, drums, guitar, piano, and bass — and co-writes Laughing Pizza songs with her parents. Additionally, she is crafting the Laughing Pizza clothing line.

During the free concert, pizza will be available for $2 per slice, and guests are asked to bring their own beverages.

Then on Sept. 27 at 6:45 p.m. is the Southampton Elementary School Open House, and the whole community is welcome.
