Art and Wine (and Drinking) at the Parrish
Art is a visual medium, while winemaking is more about taste and smell. But didn't Ben Jonson once write, "Drink to me only with thine eyes?" In any case, on Friday at 6:00 pm the Parrish Art Museum, in Watermill, is hosting a wine tasting and talk called "How Do You Bottle Creativity?" Local star winemakers Kareem Massoud, Barbara Shinn, and Christopher Tracy (along with Edible East End's inimitable editor Brian Halweil) will discuss why "Turning grapes and water into wine is an art"—and then let their vintages do the talking. http://parrishart.org/programs/591
