Great Things to Do and See on the East End This Weekend

On Friday, April 11, at 6 p.m. the Salon Series Concerts continue at The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill with Russian pianist Daria Rabotkina, winner of the 2007 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, who has been described as “…a pianist full of fire and warmth” (The Plain-Dealer), who possesses “clearly prodigious musical gifts” (The Washington Post). “This program draws a musical time line…. [from] the purity and sensitivity of Dowland, the refined, fragile textures of Couperin and the profundity and vitality of Bach,” said Rabotkina in her Artist’s Statement. “The second half … offers a tour into the impressionistic palette of Ravel, and the beloved themes of Carmen through the Romantic prism of a living composer." Admission costs $20 for non-members, $10 for members.
