'Get Out' Guide: St. Paddy's Day Party, Two Sculptors and a Collector and the End of Hamptons Restaurant Week

This week in Southampton everyone is celebrating St. Paddy’s Day and ready to kick off spring. So get ready for more fun coming from the “Get Out” guide. Use the guide to figure out what best suits you for a weekend of fun or relaxation.

Where/When: , Friday, 8:30 p.m.
Why Go:
Come at 7:45 p.m. if you are new to dancing or arrive at 8:30 p.m. if you have your steps down. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with dancing and friends.
Pricing:
$5, open to all.

Where/When: , Saturday, 10:15 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Why Go:
Find out how to write a compelling story about your own life. Make sure you register and submit a writing sample for critique during the workshop.

Where/When: 4 North Main Gallery, 4 North Main St, Southampton Village, Saturday, 6 to 8 p.m.
Why Go:
Celebrate the exhibition of Joe Barnes’ paintings, Daniel Gonzalez’s photography and Raum Norquist’s construction with an opening reception. This unique gallery rents out space to artists so those artists can display their work as they envision it.
Pricing:
Free, open to all.

Where/When: , Sunday, 1 to 3 p.m.
Why Go:
As a part of Peconic Land Trust’s Winter Lecture Series, sculptors James DeMartis and Carol Ross and curator Arlene Bujese will discuss sculptures in the garden. Call or e-mail for a reservation and find out about placing, creating and acquiring sculptures.
Pricing:
$15, free to members of Bridge Gardens or Madoo Conservancy.

Where/When: , Sunday, 3 p.m.
Why Go:
For the Marc Levine on violin, Aron Zelkowicz on cello and Vanessa Fadial on piano will perform French classics of Debussy, Faure and Messiaen. Come to enjoy the performers’ talents with a French twist.

$20, $10 for students

Where/When:Sunday, 2 p.m.
Why Go:
Go watch a taping of The Girl of the Golden West performing at the Netherlands Opera for your Sunday afternoon.
Pricing:
$14 for Parrish members; $17 for nonmembers

Where/When: Participating restaurants will have prix fixe all weekend (except after 7 p.m. on Saturday) with the last day being Sunday.
Why Go:
If you haven’t taken advantage of yet, you are missing out on gourmet food at regular prices. Go to your favorite Hamptons restaurant or try something new.
