Bethany Dellapolla (Elaine Robinson), Seth Hendricks (Mr. Robinson), Barbara Jo Howard (Mom), Stewart Mead (Desk Clerk/Psychiatrist), John Tramontana (Dad) and Vincent Carbone as Benjamin Braddock and Brooke Alexander as Mrs. Robinson.

The Graduate is based upon the 1963 novel (of the same name) written by Charles Webb, who wrote it shortly after graduating from Williams College. Adapted for the London stage in 2001 by Terry Johnson, The Graduate moved to Broadway in 2002 with Kathleen Turner as Mrs. Robinson and Jason Biggs as Benjamin Braddock. Later in the run, Lorraine Bracco assumed the role of the libidinous Mrs. Robinson.

The iconic film was directed by Mike Nichols in 1967. The screenplay was written by Buck Henry, who made a cameo appearance as a hotel clerk, and Calder Willingham. The film tells the story of Benjamin Braddock (played by Dustin Hoffman), a recent university graduate with no well-defined aim in life. He is seduced by an older woman, Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), and then proceeds to fall in love with her daughter Elaine (Katharine Ross).

Terry Johnson’s adaptation of the original novel and the movie was a hit both in London’s West End and on Broadway, and has toured the United States. In addition to Ms.Turner and Ms. Bracco, Jerry Hall, Amanda Donohoe, Morgan Fairchild, Anne Archer, Vera Fischer and Linda Gray have played Mrs. Robinson.
