Adam Bartos’s distinctive style maintains a consistent distance in the photographs where a narrative, if any, is supplied by the viewer. In Liminal Ground, Bartos turns his camera on Long Island’s boatyards, garages, and abandoned lots in color photographs that elevate the ordinary and overlooked. The exhibition will bring together sixteen of these lush and evocative pigment prints in a large-scale format that nonetheless remains photographic in scale.
