Bridgehampton Whalers - A Farmer's Life at Sea

This exhibit celebrates local men who went to sea to hunt whales, most of whom came back to farm. Using excerpts from whaling logs, art work by Claus Hoie, furniture once belonging to whaling captains, scrimshaw, and exotic mementos brought back from around the world, the danger, excitement and rewards of hunting the whale is revealed.

Open to the public Mon-Sat, 10am - 2pm.

At the Bridgehampton Historical Society's William Corwith House.
