Dramatic Reading at Parrish Moved to Sunday
Laurie Anderson will perform in conjunction with the Julião Sarmento exhibition.
A dramatic reading by Laurie Anderson that was to take place during the opening weekend of "" at the earlier this month has been rescheduled to Sunday at 6 p.m.
In a multimedia presentation held amid the artwork, Anderson will read "Raphael," a new short story written by James Salter for the exhibition's catalog.
The reading will take place in the museum's galleries. Anderson is one of America's most renowned — and daring — artists, according to the Parrish. Her work, which encompasses music, visual art, poetry, film and photography, has challenged and delighted audiences around the world for more than 30 years, a museum statement read. She has numerous major works to her credit, along with countless collaborations with an array of artists, from Jonathan Demme and Brian Eno to Bill T. Jones and Peter Gabriel.
