BuzzFeed Senior Editor Anna North to Speak at Stony Brook Southampton

Author of novel "America Pacifica."

Novelist and Buzzfeed senior editor Anna North is slated to talk at Stony Brook Southampton on Oct. 24 for the next installment of Writers Speak Wednesdays.

North is the author of "America Pacifica," set during a second ice age, centered on a teen living in one of the last habitable places on earth, an island with severe class divisions ruled by a dictator. The protagonist, Darcy, sets off to find her missing mother and learns about both her family history pre-ice age and the dark early history of the island.

North edits BuzzFeed's Shift vertical and her writing has appeared in The Atlantic Monthly and Glimmer Train, and online at Jezebel.com.

Anna North will speak on the second floor of Chancellors Hall at Stony Brook Southampton on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
