Bay Burger: Latin Jazz Star to Play Thursday

Organizers of the weekly jazz Jam Session at Bay Burger in Sag Harbor said latin jazz pianist Hector Martignon will perform at the Thursday night session.

Bay Burger made the announcement on its Facebook page.

"Not only does The Jam Session aim to keep lave jazz alive, we also try to make sure that Jazz is evolving. One of the better hybrids in the world of music is Latin/Jazz. Latin brought the dance element back into Jazz and revived the poly rhythmic African roots," they wrote.

Martignon has twice been nominated for a Grammy, according to a bio on the musician's website.

The event kicks off at 7 p.m.
