Galleries range from the international to the local. Countries represented include Israel, Japan, Greece, Finland and others.

The fair will be smaller than last year to present a more manageable viewing and art-buying experience, Friedman said. Last year’s fair had over 7,000 artworks and 92 galleries.

The temporary building constructed for the fair is an upgrade from last year, Friedman said. About half a city block smaller, the building is a single unit and conjures a museum, he said. There will be two lounges, an art café, climate control and a sleek glass entrance to welcome visitors.

ArtHamptons is a mix of stationary gallery exhibitions, events, art-themed book signings, award ceremonies and fundraisers. Each year, the fair provides a longer look at a specific portion of the art world.

“We want the fair to have something new and different every year,” Friedman said.

This year, a mini “British Invasion” of sorts permeates ArtHamptons, Friedman said. Eleven galleries — around 14 percent of the fair — are from the UK. Last year, there was Korean gallery concentration providing a peek into their art scene.

"photoHamptons" premieres this year and brings a fine art photography focus. Photography galleries are mixed throughout the fair. Works include vintage, contemporary, modern, post modern and video. A walking tour of photoHamptons will be held on July 9 and 10 at 1 p.m. It includes tips on how to look at fine art photography and on building a collection.

The main event at ArtHamptons is the on July 7 from 6 to 9 p.m., which will be replicated on the in mid August. Tickets are $95 and include 3-day admission. Daily admission is $20. For each day of the fair, the admission proceeds benefit a different area organization, including the and the .
