Young Stars To Shine in 'Hamptons Got Talent' Competition

A similar competition was held in Hampton Bays in recent years.

"American Idol" has nothing on the talent just waiting to be discovered in Southampton Town.

The Town of Southampton's Youth Bureau is holding open auditions for its first ever "Hamptons Got Talent" competition on Friday, Feb. 28 and Friday, March 7 from 4 – 7:30 p.m. at the Hampton Bays Community Center, located at 25 Ponquogue Ave.  

Any student in grades five through 12, living in Southampton Town, is eligible to enter the audition to showcase talents in singing, dancing, instruments, comedy, magic, or poetry.

Contestants must bring the music they will perform to, without vocals.

Finalists selected will perform in the "Hamptons Got Talent" competition, to be held on April 26 from 8 to 11 p.m. at Hampton Bays High School.
