The Weekend: Santa Claus is Coming to Town

St. Nick will be making several appearances, and much more is happening this weekend to get into the spirit.

There is plenty to do this weekend to get into the holiday spirit, including photo ops with Kris Kringle himself:

1. Santa Claus will be all over Southampton Town this weekend, going from one appearance to the next.  is hosting  at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. Then at 11 a.m., Santa will pose for  at  in Bridgehampton. Next he is due in Southampton Village at 1 p.m. for  at the  office. On Sunday, Santa and the  will be at  in Southampton Village for a  from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

2. 's Rogers mansion is all decked out for the holidays with traditional exhibits representing different parts of the world, and the museum is offering  — members and children are free. The 30-minute guided tour starts at noon on Saturday at the museum gift shop.

3. With so much gift wrapping to do, and so little time, The Flying Point Foundation for Autism is holding a  benefit at  in Bridgehampton to take the burden off gift-givers for a small donation. The wrap-a-thon takes place between 1 and 5 p.m. on Saturday. Southampton Patch will be there, so check back on Sunday for a slide show of the event.

4. The Children's Museum of the East End is offering ginger bread house building workshops at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Children 4 and older and their families are welcome to participate.

5. A video recording of the classic Christmas ballet "The Nutcracker" will be screened at the  Saturday at 2 p.m. The event is $12 for Parrish members and $15 for non-members. Children 12 and younger are free, so bring the kids.
