While most of us were enjoying a Saturday night relaxing at home or having a night out, a brave crew of more than 40 kids and adults made their way through the primitive woods of Bridgehampton on a passionate search for the eastern tiger salamander. Under the guidance of the naturalist, philanthropist and "Salamander Commander" Andy Sabin (also board president of the South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center), nobody was disappointed. Thanks to the persistence of the dedicated SoFo staff, everyone had a chance to see and touch the endangered ambystoma tigrinum.
