Teen's Essay on Grandfather Wins Bridgehampton Museum Scholarship

Bridgehampton School senior Jacob Hostetter was honored Thursday with an award certificate and $1,000 scholarship for his essay on his grandfather Raymond H. Topping Sr.
The essay won the Bridgehampton Museum's annual contest and will be printed in the museum's yearly publication, Bridge Journal, which will be released in the coming weeks.
Topping, who died last winter, was a member of a deeply rooted Bridgehampton family. The museum called Hostetter's essay "very engaging" and said it will be of interest to local farming families as well as area visitors.
