Submit Your Pic for Southampton Patch's New Facebook Cover Photo

Have a great photo, painting or drawing that you think will be a perfect cover pic for our Facebook page? Upload it now.

With the start of the new year, it's a great time to freshen up the Southampton Patch Facebook page cover photo — and we're looking for your help.

From now until Friday, Jan. 25, we'll be accepting submissions for a cover photo — it could be a recent photograph, something from the archives, a painting or a drawing.

For a while now, the cover photo has been an aerial view of downtown Southampton Village, courtesy of Quogue photographer Jeff Cully.

Your submission can be from anywhere in Southampton Patch's coverage area: Southampton Village, North Sea, Shinnecock Hills, Shinnecock Indian Reservation, Tuckahoe, Water Mill, Bridgehampton, Sagaponack, Sag Harbor and North Haven.

Whether it's a photo of a historic building, Main Street, the beach or people just going about their day, we want to see your take on Southampton. Be creative and try to capture the essence of the area.

There's no age requirement to submit: You just have to be a Southampton Patch user and be able to create a 100 percent original piece of work owned by you for us to use. If you don't have a Patch account, visit southampton.patch.com/join to sign up for free.

We'll close acceptance for entries on Friday, Jan. 25, at 3 p.m. Then, it's up to you again. We will choose the front-runners and create a poll for the readers to make the final decision.

Make sure your are signed in to Patch, then click the "Upload Photos and Videos" button above to submit your entry.

[Now for the legal stuff.]

You agree to grant Patch the royalty free, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive right and license to use the work on Southampton Patch, Patch.com and Southampton Patch's Facebook page. You must have permission to show all individuals seen in the work. If minor children are included in the work, you must be their parent or guardian, or obtain written consent from their parent or guardian prior to submitting the work. All entries must be at least 399 pixels wide and cannot contain any advertising (such as a prominent Coca Cola logo).

There are some really beautiful photos there. The one by Daniel Gonzales and the Munn's point are two that come to mind...but all excellent. Thank you.
