SHARE: Blizzard of 2013 Photos, Videos

As a shroud of snow covers the area, grab your camera and share your clips and pics.

The Blizzard of 2013 hit Southampton early Friday afternoon, as earlier bands of rain changed to a thick, steady and sticky flow of snow.

Patch would love to share your photos and videos. So, grab you cameras or smartphones and shoot a few moments of the kids playing in the snow, shoveling out. or the great scenery the snow helped to create.

You can upload the clips right to this post or email them to southampton@patch.com with photographer and caption information, including when and where the photo was taken.

A portion of the LIE will be closed for most of the day Sunday: http://southampton.patch.com/articles/lie-closed-sunday-for-snow-removal
If you live on a private road, it may not be plowed until later Sunday.

Update: I drove from Dover Delaware where it only rained,North to Ringoes Nj on business.I finished at 7 pm and drove home.I was worried all the way. Surprisingly the VNB was spotless,as was Belt,Southern until Islip. At that point,we all slowed down,Chunks of ice narrow roadway kept us in a 5 mile line going at 30-40MPH.
Suddenly around Mastic /Shirley 27 was pristine and remained that way until I drove into Southampton.Kudos to the people who are in charge for that section of RT 27! I was stunned as I drove into Southampton ,..it looked great .side streets were in fact plowed beautifully,I got to my street,(think PC Richards), and as always I thought Oh..not so much.My street has been partially plowed by a neighbor's friend... I count myself lucky. I can call Hwy Dept...only to realize, "oh they have taken the phone off the hook."I already know that it will probablybe 5 to 6 days if that before we see a plow. I have lived here 20+ yrs .Until the last 5 years or so we never never waited more than a day before the plows came by.Remember the Feb when we got 18"+ every Mon for three weeks? Yeah we were plowed ... Two years ago after 6 days I called a actually got a human on the phone ,I was told our road was not a road on the Southampton tax map.I explained that we certainly were and for 20+ years .Things haven't changed. My question is if residents hire their own plow can they charge the town successfully? LOL just curious.

Maud, Thanks for the info. I looked it up online. Very scary stuff. The Town of Southampton isRead More playing with fire with plans for Sustainability. Just another word for Agenda 21. What fools would want to go along with this scam? Guess they want to rule our lives just like the U.N. wants to do with our property rights, food, and fuel.

Sid Vicious? What does that name tell us, If you had followed the items I posted you would find thatRead More this information is based on facts. Your rantings are the conspiracy theory. You are the conspiracy carrier. May light fill your angry life.

Firstly, Maude, it is not Sid "Viscious" it is Sid "Viscuous" - look it up.Read More Secondly, all you tinfoil-hat wearing science deniers need to wake the heck up: "STOCKHOLM -- The World Bank says it will increasingly view its efforts to help developing countries fight poverty through a "climate lens." In a report released Wednesday, the international lending institution warned that heat waves, rising seas, more severe storms and other impacts of climate change will trap millions of people in poverty." As a result, the Washington-based bank said it is stepping up support for efforts to curb climate change and to help the world adapt to it. "Urgent action is needed to not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but also to help countries prepare for a world of dramatic climate change and weather extremes," World Bank President Jim Yong Kim said in a statement." "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."
