Unfortunately the ride ended up an hour behind schedule after Frank Wilson, volunteer and ride leader, was hit by a car early in the ride. Wilson's leg was broken in the accident, and he was hospitalized.
Riders, admittedly stiff-legged after the long ride, were met in Westhampton with cold drinks and snacks from several vendors, including Patch, and were later treated to food and live music on the scenic Dune Deck.
