Mosquito Spraying Scheduled for Wednesday

North Sea area to be sprayed from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Suffolk County Department of Public Works will be spraying for mosquitos in the North Sea area marshes on Wednesday morning, officials announced.

Methoprene will be applied by a low-flying helicopter from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

According to the county, no preparation is necessary for the spraying, and "the products involved have no significant human toxicity."

Should spraying be delayed due to inclement weather, it will take place on the next suitable day.
