Pirate is a 6-year-old unbroke 15.2h quarter horse gelding residing at Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue.
He is seeking a very experienced home where he can be trained and loved and cared for, for the rest of his life. His ideal adoptive owner would be easy going, nonreactive, patient and highly versed in the language of the horse, Amaryllis President Christine Distefano said.
He adores other horses, especially older, knowledgable geldings. Pirate seeks a home within 50 miles of the Hamptons. No jumping, barrel racing or strenuous lifestyles. He is a pleasure horse looking for a quiet life. Amaryllis will assess his welfare quarterly throughout his life.
