March 29: Search for 'Moby Duck,' Join a Knitting Circle

Unemployment numbers will be released today.

The sun will rise at 6:38 a.m. today and set at 7:11 p.m.

Today the African American Museum of the East End will take an important step, a local library is screening an acclaimed documentary and local boards and committees will meet.

1. Join 's Jeff Cranmer at to discuss Donovan Hohn's epic search for "." The book is based on the true story of 28,800 rubber duckies lost at sea.

2. The will meet at 7 p.m. at the old Noyac Schoolhouse,  3010 Noyac Rd, Sag Harbor.

3. Drop in for a at the Southampton Historical Museum's between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Instructors will be on hand to help with a project or answer any questions. The cost to sit in with the knitting circle is $5, or free for members of the museum.

4. Local unemployment numbers will be released later today. Come back this evening to see how the local job market is fairing.

5. Come back at 2 p.m. to meet Southampton Patch's "Whiz Kid" for this week.
