For the benefit of the , six Southampton Village and Water Mill homeowners will open up their historic houses on Saturday for the third annual house tour.
The house tour takes place Saturday between 1 and 4:30 p.m., followed by a champagne reception catered by and a private preview of the new museum exhibition .
"Insider's View of Southampton Homes is a major fundraiser for the Southampton Historical Museum that enables us to fulfill our mission to be an educational and cultural resource for the community," said Tom Edmonds, the museum's executive director.
Tickets are $90 on the day of the tour, but advance tickets for $75 can be purchased by calling 631-283-2494. Tickets may be picked up Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the on Meeting House Lane.
Tickets may also be purchased or picked up on the day of the tour between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the on South Main Street.
Edmonds said that activities supported by Insider's View include "assisting public schools with history programs (which are free to all), maintaining a research library, organizing cemetery restorations, managing a 3-acre wildlife preserve and the preservation of 15 historic buildings on five separate properties in Southampton."
