'Journey of Four Paws' Stops in Southampton

Woman and dog trek 70 miles to raise money and awareness for Central Suffolk Paws and the Arthritis Foundation.

Irene Rabinowitz, the owner of Barks-N-Bubble Boutique in Centereach, and her 10-year-old Australian Shepherd, Sydney, made a pit stop in Southampton Village on Sunday morning, during their 70-mile charity walk to Montauk.

Dubbed "A Journey of Four Paws," the walk, which began Friday in Centereach, is aimed at raising awareness of Central Suffolk Paws, a dog owner association advocating an off-leash dog run in Brookhaven, and the Long Island chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. Rabinowitz's goal is also to raise $10,000 and split it between the organizations.

Joining Rabinowitz and Sydney on Sunday at the pit stop in Agawam Park was celebrity pooch Bocker and owner Marie Shelto.
