Jan. 21: "Other People's Money," That 70s Band and Candlelight Jazz

Who says there's nothing to do in the winter?

Start your evening with jazz and wine at Wölffer in Sagaponack, follow it with the premiere night of a play in Southampton, then head to 75 Main for more drinks and music. Just be sure to designate a driver.

1. Catch the premiere of tonight at 8. Center Stage at is staging the humorous play about a Wall Street corporate raider and his attempt to acquire the 81-year-old New England Wire & Cable Company. Performances continue on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. Matinees are Sundays at 2:30 p.m. through Feb. 6. Tickets are $22 for the general public, and $20 for seniors on Fridays only. Students younger than 21, with ID, get in for $10.

2. The starts at 9 a.m. at with a meeting of the Hampton Bays Water Commissioners and public comment. At 9:30, the town board will discuss the creation of an internal auditor department, and what the role of the auditor will be. The board will break for lunch at noon, and resume at 12:30 to review the agenda for Tuesday's public meeting. At 1 p.m., the agenda turns to the and rules and regulations for acquisition of parcels and stewardship. At 2 p.m., the board will discuss the Gabreski airport planned development district, and at 3 p.m. the agenda calls for a discussion of "green" vehicle procurement and "green" cleaning.

3. Starting at 10 p.m., performs at in Southampton Village. There is no cover charge.

4. The is scheduled to resume at 11 a.m. at in Riverside, and Southampton Patch will be there. Check back this afternoon for coverage of the former Suffolk County legislator's trial.

5. Enjoy at in Sagaponack. Tomas Rodriguez, a jazz guitarist who plays with a passionate originality drawing from the musical heart of the Latin world, will perform this evening. There is no cover charge for this evening of jazz, from 5 to 8 p.m., and wines are served by the glass. Wine and cheese plates are available for purchase.
