UPDATE: Jan. 18: PDD Hearing, Girls Basketball, Workshop for Parents

There is a workshop and a meeting for parents today, the former in the morning and the latter at night, so moms and dads can catch both, and in between they can root on the home team at Southampton High School.

1. The Southampton Town Board will hold a hearing at at 6 p.m. on a proposal to amend town code to revise the requirements for submitting a Planned Development District application. The amendment arose due to a PDD proposal by developer Robert Morrow to build a shopping center, with second-floor residences, in Tuckahoe. Residents rose up against the PDD, and Morrow has now drastically scaled back the size of his project and is

2. The Southampton varsity girls basketball team will host Hampton Bays at at 5 p.m.

3. The Special Education PTA, known as East End SEPTA, will hold a meeting at . Dr. Sagit Vishnia, a behavioral psychologist, was supposed to present, but he had to cancel at the last minute, according to SEPTA. The meeting will go on as planned at 7 p.m.
