The Paul Koster Memorial Scholarship Fund has a longstanding tradition of throwing an annual casino night to raise money to help local high school seniors pay for college and to benefit local nonprofits.
This weekend, a new tradition begins, with the inaugural Paul Koster Memorial Pig Roast on Saturday at Seasons of Southampton on Prospect Street in Southampton Village.
The late Koster was the proprietor of the Clamman Seafood Market, and his survivors now still run Clamman, as well as operating the Seasons of Southampton catering venue.
Clamman, Seasons of Southampton and Southampton Publick House will provide the food and beverages. For entertainment, there will be live music and lawn games.
For $20, guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet. Or for $30, they can have the buffet plus open bar.
Proceeds will provide for $1,000 scholarships awarded to graduating Southampton High School seniors.
The Paul Koster Memorial Pig Roast is Oct. 13 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Seasons of Southampton. Call 631-283-3354 for tickets or more information.
