Floats, Vets, Bands, Marchers Win Fourth of July Parade Awards

Kids Stock the House takes first place in float competition.

The coveted "best float" award at last Thursday's Southampton Village Fourth of July Parade went to Kids Stock the House, while the Shinnecock Indian Nation took second place and Human Resources of the Hamptons won third.

Mayor's Trophy, Most Outstanding Entry — Saffron United Pipe Band

Best Patriotic Entry — Masons, Old Town Lodge

1st Place Float — Kids Stock the House
2nd Place Float — Shinnecock Indian Cultural Center and Museum
3rd Place Float —  Human Resources of the Hamptons

Fire Department — Bridgehampton Fire Department

1st Place Drum & Bugle — Westchester Brassmen
2nd Place Drum & Bugle — Sunrisers Drum and Bugle
3rd Place Drum & Bugle — Escola De Samba BOOM

1st Place Bag Pipe Band — Eastern Long Island Pipes and Drums
2nd Place Bag Pipe Band — American Celtics Pipe Band

1st Place Marching Unit — Southampton Colonial Militia
2nd Place Marching Unit — Lucia's Angels

1st Place Veterans — World War II Vets
2nd Place Veterans — Korean War Vets
3rd Place Veterans —  Disabled American Veterans Transportation Group
