Parties, Parades, and More to Do for Halloween

This weekend and on Halloween day there are numerous events around Southampton for kids and adults, including haunted houses, trick-or-treating and costume parties.

Halloween is Monday, and Southampton, Sag Harbor, Water Mill and Bridgehampton will be celebrating all weekend with events for all ages.

KIDS AND TEENS:  The Sag Harbor Whaling Museum's are Friday between 6 and 9 p.m.. Admission is $10 and the haunted house is geared for teens and adults.  Before or after your tour, join the for , for $10. The Whaling Museum will also offer  children's tours Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. without the scary characters in place. Admission for children's tours is $5 per person and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. 

ADULTS:  for a "True Blood" Halloween Caper Friday at 9 p.m. at the Driver’s Seat Restaurant in Southampton Village, with cocktails and dancing. Costumes are encouraged — but no masks. There is no cover.

FAMILIES:  in Water Mill is hosting their Saturday starting at 3 p.m. and Sunday start at 11 a.m. Activities include pumpkin painting, a maze, a spooky witch's lair and face painting.

KIDS: A begins Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the in Bridgehampton. Children 4 and older are invited down with their families and costumes. A "spooky" story time will follow trick-or-treating on Main Street.

ADULTS: Join the new Outeast Cafe on North Sea Road for a starting at 9 p.m. Saturday with live music by Wiggle Boy. Best costume wins dinner for two at the cafe.

ADULTS: in Sag Harbor hosts the starting at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Drink specials include $5 draft pints and Sauza tequila shots. A best costume contest will begin at midnight with winners announced at 1 a.m. Best costume will win $200 cash prize. First runner up will receive a $100 Phao gift certificate. Cost at the door is $5. A password for free entrance will be given out in a Phao e-blast and on their Facebook page. Guests must be 21 or over.

ADULTS: in Southampton Village is hosting a Halloween party beginng at 11 p.m. Saturday, "." There will be a cash prize for the best and sexiest costume and music by DJ Biggie. Reduced admission for guest in costumes or on the guest list.

KIDS: in North Sea wants you to join them Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.  for some ghoulish fun. Decorate the trunk (or hatch) of your car for Halloween. Have some spooky fun with your family, co-workers, or your neighbor, creating the “Best Trunk” to win this year’s competition. Children will be trick or treating from trunk to trunk, so have plenty of treats ready to hand out. Prizes will also be awarded for best adult costume and best youth costume. The Southampton Town Youth Bureau will be transforming the “Path” Youth Center into a haunted house to add to the festivities. SYS will choose the winners of the costume contest during the “Trunk or Treat” parade at 3:30 p.m.

KIDS: begins at 1 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot behind , then heads down Main Street to the Whaling Museum. Kinds (and parents and pets) should dress up in their costumes.

KIDS: in Bridgehampton will have readings of for ages 8 to 12 at 3 p.m. Sunday. Hot chocolate will be served. Registration is required. Call 631-537-0015.

FAMILIES: will have a at 5 p.m. Sunday. There will be games for kids, a costume parade and a best pumpkin contest. Adults and children are invited to join the fun. Dress in your funniest, spookiest or cutest costume and bring a dish to share. Remember to bring along your best decorated jack-o-lantern too. For more information call 725-0894.

KIDS: Sag Harbor Village will have after school starting at 3 p.m. on Main Street and Bay Street. Just look for the orange "pumpkin face" in  windows of participating businesses throughout Sag Harbor and pop-in for some candy.

And while the kids are dressed up, make sure to snap a photo for Patch's , judged by Heidi Klum.  The grand prize winner gets a trip for two to Los Angeles or New York City to meet Klum. For the top 10 costumes, Patch will donate $1,031 each to the local charity of their choice.
