Feb. 2: Bridgehampton School Board, Paper Cutting, Whiz Kids, Kids Planner

Whiz Kid and Grab & Go Kids Planner debut today.

Freezing rain is in the forecast for today, with accumulations of ice expected. Travel may be hazardous. Keep that in mind when heading to meetings and events this evening.

1. The is scheduled to meet for a business meeting at 7 p.m. It will be preceeded by a policy committee meeting at 6 p.m.

2. The will host a paper cutting class for adults from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the . From folk roots to cutting edge, learn the basics of cut paper art. Scherenschnitte, German for “scissor cuts,” is the art of paper cutting design. Using Valentine patterns, students will explore techniques and create a finished frame-worthy paper cutting. Students must bring fine point Fiskar scissors. The fee for the class is $15.

3. Because of the expected weather, including freezing rain, the meeting that had been rescheduled from last week to today has been postponed again. It will now take place Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. at .
