Cops: Southampton's Major Roadways in 'Fine Shape'

Southampton's major arteries, including Montauk Highway are mostly clear considering the snow fall totals in the area, however, back roads are still in bad shape, according to Sgt. Andrew Ficurilli of the Southampton Town Police.

"Everything's fine and there is very light traffic," he said. 

Most residents, he said, have been staying off the roads, but the emergency crews did respond to 25 calls during the storm, all of them minor fender benders and most occurring during the heaviest snowfall on Tuesday.
