Can You Identify This Historical Photo?

Local historians dig into their archives.

Each week, we will feature a local historical photo from the archives of either Sally Spanburgh, a Southampton preservation advocate, or the Hampton Bays Historical Society and ask readers to guess what is pictured, the date the photo was taken and/or what is there today.

If you think you know the answer, let us know in the comment section below. We will let you know if you're right next Sunday when we post the next photo challenge.

Last week's photo, according to Brenda Berntson, was of a house located on Montauk Hwy, past Gravel Hill Road and before the gas station on Canoe Place Rd. It was built in the early 1900s.

I believe the Conklin family were the original owners of the "Lazy T" .... and the "T" was for Mr Conklin's first "Tom"

I do believe that the Conklins were the owners of this motel on Springville Road...I'm 51 years old and I vaguely remember it, but my parents were good friends with "Tom" Conklin...I'm curious to find out what they know about the motel. (I do know my godfather is Tom Conklin, he graduated with my dad and was the best man in the wedding...but moved away soon after I was born.)
