Each Friday, we will feature a local historical photo from the archives of the and ask readers to guess what is pictured, the date the photo was taken and/or what is there today.

Last week's photo, according to Brenda Berntson, of the historical society, was of the Shinnecock Casino, which was on Shinnecock Bay, near what is now Comorant Point.

It's the northeast corner of Montauk Hwy and Squiretown in HB across from Bubs. The Alberti's owned the shoemaker shop.

This is a picture of the Dimartin family better known as the Donald martin family and mae martin family Fran oldeck should give more insight to the photo, I think the little boy standing is my grandfather Dominick Dimartin who lived across the street in the house my great grandfather built who's in the picture is holding my grandfathers hand as well as my great grand mother. I'm not sure of the people to the right,I think wendy is correct it could be the alberti's
