Those who need a place to put their bicycle may consider a storage locker at the Bridgehampton Long Island Rail Road station.
Thomas F. Neely, the Public Transportation & Traffic Safety Director for the Town of Southampton, said his department took over ownership and management of the enclosed bike locker from New York State Department of Transportation.
The locker is perfect for someone who needs a quick ride to and from the train station.

One person rented one of the lockers in the spring, after the town took over management, but there is still one to rent.
"There are actually two separate storage spaces within the large beige locker, so we recently reposted this announcement in an effort to rent the second space," Neely explained. The renter will receive a key, which opens the door panel to the one space they rented.

The storage space costs $60 per year.
