Bike Lockers Available at Bridgehampton Train Station
Rent a locker for $60 per year.
If you are a frequent train rider who would prefer to take a bicycle to the station rather than a car but fear leaving your bike out, Southampton Town has a solution for you.
In an effort to encourage commuting by bicycle, the Bridgehampton Long Island Rail Road station has bike lockers for rent for just $60 per year plus a one-time refundable $40 key deposit. The lockers protect bicycles from the elements as well as would-be thieves.
The town transportation office is calling attention to this deal. To rent the bicycle locker, call the transportation office at 631-283-5210 or email tneely@southamptontownny.gov.
The New York State Department of Transportation's 511NY Rideshare program offers a "buddy matching" service to find commuters with similar trips to bike with.
