The new and improved ARF Thrift and Treasure Shop in Sagaponack was transformed Saturday into a hot spot for animals and people alike. The grand opening of the renovated thrift shop featured a preview cocktail party and a designer showcase in which nine rooms expertly displayed items and furniture for sale, arranged by New York's most pet-friendly interior decorators. A silent auction was held featuring exclusive designer and animal-themed items and packages while cocktails and hors d'oeurves were served. The most important guests of the evening were the adoptable dogs and cats that mingled among the other attendees. As said by Jamie Berger, the ARF director of marketing and communications, "The party is nice, but it's important to remember it's all about the animals."
