Adopt Alex, a Semi-Longhair Cat

This week, the  is looking to find a home for Alex, a 3-year-old semi-longhair cat who loves children.

Donald Bambrick, animal shelter supervisor, said Alex was returned to the shelter because his owner had no time and a new baby in the house.

If Alex is not the type of pet you are looking for, there are plenty of other animals at the shelter in need of love and care, including many cats.

All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered, according to Bambrick.

Adoption fees range from $40 to $60 for a cat and $60 to $125 for a dog.
