7 Places to Send Your Kids for Spring Break

Need somewhere to send you children for spring break? Look no further.

With spring just a week away, we’ve compiled a list of a few great places that still have openings for your children, of all ages.

CMEE

The Children's Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton is offering two weeks of drop-off Spring Break classes for children ages 3 to 5. The classes will be March 18 to 22 and March 25 to 29, from 9 a.m. to noon. According to CMEE, "Your children can participate in a carefully planned three-hour morning program that will encourage creative play and positive social interaction. Many of the experiences during the program will focus on cooking, art, science, nature, and storytelling. Some of the activities planned include: making puffy paints; baking oatmeal cookies; making a Spring diorama; making play dough and more. Southampton Youth Services

Southampton Youth Services in North Sea offers a spring break camp at its headquarters at 1370A Majors Path in Southampton from March 25 through March 29. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for ages k through 6. Campers much bring their own lunch. The cost is $60 a day or $250 for the week. For more information, call 631-287-1511.

Parrish Art Museum

The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill is offering five days of classes, and children may attend any number of classes they like. There will a group for children age 4 to 6, from 10 a.m. to noon each day, and a group for children 7 and older, from 1  to 3 p.m. The classes are Spring Landscapes on March 25, Pop Art on March 26, Still-Life Collage on March 27, Spring Printmaking on March 28 and Sculpture Inspired by the Garden on March 29. Quogue Wildlife Refuge

The Quogue Wildlife Refuge is offering a Spring Break camp at its facility at 3 Old Country Road in Quogue from March 25 through March 28 for children ages 5 to 11. Camp will run each day from 9 a.m. to noon at a cost of $30 per day or $100 for all 4 days. During camp, children will explore and discover wildlife as well as hike the refuge’s trail system. Campers must bring their own drinks and snacks. For more information, call 631-653-4771.

Studio Art

Studio Art, located at 22 Sunset Ave in Westhampton Beach will be holding a Spring Break camp from March 25 through March 29 from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost is $65 per day. Children are required to bring their own lunch. Art classes are also available $20 per session and two-hour drop-off. For more information, call 631-998-0563.

Boy Scouts of Suffolk County

Baiting Hollow Boy Scout Camp in Calverton is offering a sleepover camp for Boy Scouts from March 24 to March 29. The week includes meals, special presentations and merit badge projects. The boys will sleep in either tents or cabins. The price is $265 for the week. Aside from sleepover camp, Baiting Hollow Boy Scout Camp also offers a day camp opportunity for cub scouts that will run from March 25 to March 29 from 8: 30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The price for this program, which includes lunch and a snack is $250. Suffolk County Girls Scouts

The Girl Scouts of Suffolk County are holding a Spring Break program that includes, crafts, songs and games from March 25, through March 29. The all-girls camp takes place at Camp Edey in Bayport.
