10 Shelter Pets Who Still Need Homes

These past "Pets of the Week" are at the Southampton Animal Shelter.

Each week Patch presents a cat, dog or other animal residing at the in need of a forever home.

Sometimes the Pet of the Week is adopted almost immediately. But other featured pets are still at the shelter months later.  Here are 10 past "Pets of the Week" that are still available for adoption at Southampton Animal Shelter.

Cats

has been at the shelter since November 2006, when she was rescued from an animal hoarder along with six other cats. She is the last one waiting to be adopted.

, a 1-year-old male gray tiger, was found with his brother Dingo as 4-week-old kittens. They were trapped in the ceiling of a house and brought into the shelter by his rescuer in June 2010.

, a 4-year-old male orange tiger, came to the shelter in February 2010 after being rescued from a hoarder.

, a 4-year-old brown tiger domestic shorthair, was found outside an Italian restaurant looking for something to eat.

, a 7-year-old female gray and white Tabby, arrived at the shelter in August 2009 when her owner had to move and couldn’t take her along.

, a 1-year-old domestic shorthair, was surrendered to the shelter in June with another cat, Batman, when her owner had to move.

, who has been a resident at the shelter for more than five years, was abandoned at the shelter in 2006 with her two kittens, Pippi and Flippy.

Adoption fees range from $40 to $60 for a cat.

Dogs

, a 4-year-old pitbull mix, has been at the shelter since September 2010 when she was taken in from another shelter with her three nursing puppies.

, a 5-year-old pitbull terrier mix, came to the animal shelter with heartworm, but is better now and looking for a forever home.

, an 8-year-old Pomeranian, came from a Pennsylvania puppy mill where he had previously spent his life in a wire cage. Max is somewhat wary of strangers but he warms up quickly when he's shown some attention.

Adoption fees range from $60 to $125 for a dog.
