The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons has teamed up with humane partners the Mayor’s Alliance for New York City’s Animals and Maddie’s Fund for Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days on June 1 and 2. Free adoptions will be offered throughout the weekend at the ARF Adoption Center and on the ARF Mobile Adoption Van. Maddie's Pet Adoption Days help rescue organizations in the New York area to find homes for more animals, including senior animals and those with treatable medical conditions — all of whom can make wonderful companions. The goal of Maddie's Pet Adoption Days is to give all healthy, senior, and treatable shelter dogs and cats a second chance. The event also will help rescue organizations financially, thereby allowing them to save even more lives. Adoptions of dogs and cats will be free to qualified adopters. Maddie's Fund will donate to ARF $500 for each adoption of a young and healthy animal, $1,000 for each adoption involving a dog or cat who is 7 years of age or older or who has been treated for one or more treatable medical conditions, and $2,000 for each adoption involving a dog or cat who is 7 years of age or older and who has been treated with one or more treatable medical conditions. “All of us here at ARF are indebted to Maddie’s Fund for launching Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days.
