Tuckahoe School News - Week of Sept. 30 - Oct. 4

The Tuckahoe Common School District's Reading Department is once again planning our annual Reading Rocks! raffle.  At the end of the last school year, we enticed our students to continue reading over the summer by announcing our exciting prize list at a Pre-K through 6th Grade Assembly.  At that time, the students were informed that for every book they read over the summer, they would earn a raffle ticket.   Our Reading Rocks! Raffle will take place on Friday, September 27, 2013 during tenth period in the cafetorium.  Prizes will be awarded in a Chinese auction.  We can't wait to celebrate reading with our students!  Our 6th Grade Outdoor Educational Trip this year is on Monday, September 30th to Tuesday, October 1st.  Our PTO Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Tuckahoe this year in September!  It will be held a whole week beginning on Monday, September 30th and ending on Friday, October 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the school gymnasium, and on Thursday, October 3rd it will be open until 8:00 p.m.!  Our 7th Grade Outdoor Educational Trip this year is on Tuesday, October 15th to Thursday, October 17th.  Our 8th Grade Washington D.C. Trip this year is on Wednesday, October 16th to Friday, October 18th.  School Picture Retake Day is Tuesday, October 29th.
