Local Financial Advisor coordinates event to support local servicemen & families

On March 19th, Rocco A. Carriero, a Private Wealth Advisor in Southampton, coordinated an event in conjunction with the Friends of the 106 Rescue Team at Gabreski AFB in Westhampton and the Remsenburg Speonk Elementary School to provide school supplies for family members of the the 106. Reuniting the school students, members of the 106 and his team members again this year, Rocco coordinated the assembly of 200 "Back to School" kits by the 2nd grade elementary students.  Service members of the 106 Rescue Team (who had been serving overseas and received the care packages from the students last year while deployed) came to thank the entire school personally and share some photos and a report of their experience. Students had the opportunity to try on some of the official "rescue gear" and the program concluded with special certificates being presented to the community members and students who supported the efforts of the rescue team.  Office supplier, W.B. Mason donated school supplies for the event and Tate's Bake Shop donated cookies. The 2nd annual event brought together local businesses, community members, volunteers, business professionals, parents and children to show their appreciation and support of the local men and women who are serving on our behalf.
