Rachel Finne, a receptionist in the Rehabilitative Services Department at , has been chosen as the hospital’s employee of the quarter for the fourth quarter of 2010.
Finne’s selection was celebrated at a luncheon, where President and CEO Robert S. Chaloner presented her with a trophy recognizing her achievements.
Finne, a resident of Middle Island, began her career at Southampton Hospital in 2007 as a dietary worker in the Nutritional Services Department and was chosen as their employee of the month in 2008. Finne transferred to the Rehabilitative Services Department in November 2009 as a receptionist, associate II.
According to the many accolades by patients and co-workers, it is clear why Finne was chosen for this award:
“Rachel came to our support when my husband’s aid was unable to come with us for his physical therapy appointment. My husband is in a wheelchair and I needed help pushing him. Rachel helped me bring him upstairs and when his appointment was over, she made sure we made it to our car safely.”
