Muse in the Harbor ([631] 899-4810 www.museintheharbor.com) will introduce live music by local favorite, Jim Turner (http://jimturnermusic.com/), every Sunday starting at 6 p.m. Guests may drink and dine while listening to Turner’s repertoire of rock ’n’ roll, blues, folk, jazz, reggae, swing, country, gospel, world avant-garde and Celtic music that includes over 2,000 songs. There is no charge for the performances.
About Jim Turner:
In over 25 years as an acclaimed guitar and harmonica player, Jim Turner has shared the stage with such greats as Paul McCartney, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Dave Mason, Taj Mahal, Nell Carter and G.E. Smith, among others. Jim Turner, playing solo or with his band, has played at all the popular music venues on the East End of Long Island and many in New York City. Those venues include The Stephen Talkhouse, Guild Hall, Bay Street Theatre and The Parrish Art Museum in the Hamptons and The Broadway Theater, The New York Shakespeare Festival and C.B.G.B.’s in New York City. His music reflects the rocking tempos and rhythms of city life, an appreciation for the simple pleasures of life in the country and by the sea, and a love of music of all styles.
