What they found, however, was only hazardous to someone with a shellfish allergy.

An office staffer later threw the garbage in a dumpster.

An impromptu heist of Pringles chips and a tall can of malt liquor has landed one man in jail.

According to Southampton police, a clerk working at the Shell Gas & Convenience Store in Riverside allegedly saw a man stuff a can of Pringles potato chips underneath his shirt and leave the store.

The man then came back into the store and allegedly grabbed a 24-ounce can of Colt 45 beer to wash it down with.

The man was later arrested, and bail was set at $2,500.

Cops say three men who attempted to burglarize an East Quogue home this week had one thing standing in the way of their heist: a dog.

Their solution was an obvious one. Police said the men fed the German Shepherd to distract him and break into the home. Unfortunately, they men didn't realize there was a person in the house too.

Police said the occupant chased the men away, and they were found by cops later when they were searching the area.
